Niki Lagasse D.V.M
Dr. Lagasse is the owner of the Newburyport Veterinary Clinic. She was born and raised in Haverhill, MA. After graduating from Haverhill High School in 1977, she attended Michigan State University for two years and the University of Vermont for one year. She was a member of the second graduating class at Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. Upon graduation, she returned to her hometown of Haverhill to practice and in 1988 she and Dr. Crawford established the Riverside Veterinary Clinic. In 2015 she purchased the Newburyport Veterianry Clinic from Dr. Shankin and undertook a complete rennovation and reorganization of the practice. After thirty nine years of practice, Dr. Lagasse enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, she especially enjoys client education and forming relationships with her clients and patients.
Dr. Lagasse resides in Newburyport with her husband Michael and their two sons Rob and Greg. When not at the clinic, she enjoys tending to her home and gardens, riding and caring for her two horses and two donkeys, playing with her three dogs and two cats and watching over her chickens. She also enjoys cooking, sewing, running, biking, skiing, snowmobiling, camping and spending time with family members.

Deborah Burba D.V.M
Dr. Burba joined Newburyport Veterinary Clinic in August 2015. She was born and raised in Salem, MA and graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School. She then graduated Magna Cum Laude from Providence College. After receiving her DVM from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000, she completed an internship in small animal medicine, surgery and emergency medicine from VCA Southshore Animal Hospital in 2001. After taking care of animals in her hometown of Salem for the past 11 years, she is excited to develop those same great relationships with clients and their pets in the community in which she lives.
Dr. Burba lives in Amesbury with her husband, Bill, children, Brittney, Will and Caroline as well as their dog, Hodgie (named after the ice cream place!!).

Bridget Pope D.V.M
Dr. Pope was born and raised in Southern Vermont on a small horse farm. Animals have always been a huge part of her life and the compassion she had for them drove her to want to have a positive impact on their lives, and the lives of their owners.
Dr. Pope attended New Hampshire University where she obtained her B.S. in Pre Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she continued her academic career at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her Clinical year at Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Pope graduated in May of 2014 where she joined a small animal practice in the Berkshires for 6 years. Dr. Pope Joined Newburyport Veterinary Clinic after she and her family moved to Groveland, Ma. in 2020.
She practice's general small animal medicine with a special interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.
During Undergraduate school, Dr. Pope met her husband Spencer, who is also an avid animal lover and outdoor enthusiast. Together they love spending time outside. Some of their favorite activities include hiking, skiing, and other outdoor activities. They also spend a lot of time traveling with their two beautiful children, Alexander (a very active 3 year old) and Anika (an adventurous 2 year old), to see family.
At home, you can find two wonderful dogs, a black mouth Cur named Indiana Jones and a boxer mix named Sammy. The most recent addition is a very mischievous cat named Bruce.
